Jimmy Luhende is an independent media strategist, communication, and community engagement expert with demonstrable experiences in persuasive writing, developing reading/training materials for local advocacy and activism. He is one of the most skillful and resourceful Training Facilitators in Tanzania, passionate about social transformation, public resource management and engaging communities in accountability-seeking processes.
He has more than 15 years of experience in the CSO sector, especially in enhancing community’s knowledge and skills in areas of Peace, Justice, Governance, Public Policy, Local Democracy and Human rights. Mr Luhende is a founder and first Chief Executive Officer of Actions for Democracy and Local Governance (ADLG), a local initiative established and registered for promoting Democracy, Governance, Accountability and Active citizenry in the extractive industry and farming areas of Great lakes regions. He has served as a Board member with three popular national CSO networks; Tanzania Education Network (TEN/MET), The Policy Forum and the Union of Tanzania Press Clubs (UTPC).
